For 1991 Honda released the CB-1 Type II in Japan, its final version before the CB400 Super Four took over in 1992. Power dropped from 57 PS to 53 PS to meet Japanese output rules, the fuel tank grew from 11 to 13 litres, the sixth gear was made taller with a smaller rear sprocket, and it gained semi-raised bars, a revised seat and new colours.
